Our MusM Composition (Electroacoustic Music and Interactive Media) master's program offers comprehensive training in advanced compositional methods, creative approaches, and related artistic concepts at the intersection of technology and other disciplines. This course thoroughly prepares students for professional careers as technology-driven composers while equipping them with the skills needed to pursue innovative PhD research in electroacoustic composition, including interdisciplinary projects blending science and arts. All instruction, research, and creative work takes place within the cutting-edge facilities of the NOVARS Research Centre for Electroacoustic Composition, Performance and Sound Art. Students gain performance opportunities through MANTIS (Manchester Theatre in Sound)'s 55-speaker audio system and events like the Locativeaudio Festival and Sines and Squares Festival dedicated to analogue electronics and modular synthesis.
