This three-year MSc (Clin) Orthodontics program integrates academic coursework and research with essential clinical training, equipping you with modern orthodontic treatment skills and knowledge. The curriculum covers orthodontic theory through interactive small group sessions, seminars, hands-on practical training, digital learning modules, and peer-led enrichment activities. Clinical training occurs at University-affiliated hospital clinics, where you'll treat around 150 complex malocclusion cases under consultant orthodontists' direct supervision. The program includes specialized instruction in research methodologies and biostatistics to support your dissertation project, with mentorship from accomplished researchers. Your research will focus on a professionally relevant topic suitable for academic publication. Graduates become eligible to take the Royal College of Surgeons' Membership in Orthodontics (MOrth) examinations.
