Studying Philosophy in depth strengthens one's approach to Political Science. Philosophical inquiry is inherently exploratory, inquisitive, and innovative, requiring careful examination, interpretation, and comprehension of seminal philosophical works. Political Science incorporates these aspects while introducing additional components of empirical knowledge, such as understanding institutional mechanisms.
The first year focuses on building fundamental philosophical and political competencies through mandatory courses, while the second year reinforces this foundation while offering some elective options. In the final year, students can select from diverse subject areas and explore cutting-edge research developments in both fields.
Students will gain proficiency in handling theoretical concepts and evaluating actual political systems, while honing their analytical, evaluative, and inventive reasoning capabilities. Their communication and composition skills will advance to a standard suitable for advanced academic pursuits or professional careers. The program cultivates essential transferable competencies including argument reconstruction and assessment, constructing logical conclusions, and effective time management.
