The University has allocated more than £20 million towards cancer research, funding the creation of multiple new positions within the Department and the development of the University of Liverpool Cancer Research Centre (ULCRC) facility. The Department is a key contributor to the Cancer Research UK Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre and oversees the Liverpool Tissue Bank.
