The University has allocated more than £20 million to cancer research, funding the creation of multiple new positions within the Department and the development of the University of Liverpool Cancer Research Centre (ULCRC) facility. Our dedication to advancing cancer studies led to the formation of the Liverpool Cancer Research UK Centre - an initiative uniting researchers, medical professionals, and community partners to conduct groundbreaking and impactful cancer research.
Professor John Ellershaw heads the Marie Curie Palliative Care Institute Liverpool, a collaborative effort between Marie Curie, the University of Liverpool, and the Royal Liverpool & Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust.
