This established MSc program equips you with cutting-edge expertise in telecommunications and wireless systems. Our curriculum undergoes annual updates to ensure alignment with current industry trends and technological advancements. The initial year mirrors the structure of our one-year MSc, covering essential subjects including embedded computer systems, digital system design, IC engineering, microprocessor architectures, along with research methodologies and project management training.
The program delves into digital design methodologies, introduces microelectronic materials, and fosters expertise in creating sophisticated embedded systems – complemented by a practical module preparing you for your final semester project.
Specialization opportunities arise through elective modules exploring image processing fundamentals, communication network principles, parallel programming for multi-core systems, and applications of electrical plasma in microelectronics.
The second year features an industrial placement (domestic or international), typically spanning 30 weeks from September to June. This professional immersion allows you to apply your skills in a corporate setting, enhancing your employability through hands-on experience, professional networking, and workplace confidence. Many students maintain connections with their placement organizations, often collaborating on projects or securing permanent positions post-graduation.
