The MSc in Clinical and Health Psychology features a distinctive program that blends academic expertise with innovative research, visiting practitioner insights, and firsthand perspectives to deliver comprehensive training in both theoretical and applied aspects of Clinical and Health Psychology. Develop expertise in psychological aspects of mental and physical wellness, psychological challenges, and behavioral patterns while gaining professional practice and research methodology training. This program equips students with the academic foundation and practical competencies needed to pursue advanced postgraduate studies or professional roles in Clinical and Health Psychology.
Specifically developed in consultation with the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology faculty, the curriculum helps prepare graduates for DClinPsy applications. The Psychology Department collaborates closely with the University's Career Services to offer employability skill development workshops and assist students in securing research positions, clinical placements, or paid opportunities in the field.
We accept a 2:1 honours degree from a UK university, or an equivalent academic qualification from a similar non-UK institution. This degree should be in Psychology that confers Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) status with the British Psychological Society (BPS).
 
A minimum of 2:2 in all BSc Psychology research methods units and the empirical research project.
 
Prior clinical and health psychology experience is not essential; however, it is viewed as giving applicants an advantage at the application stage.
