The University has allocated more than £20 million towards cancer research, funding the creation of multiple new positions within the Department and the development of the University of Liverpool Cancer Research Centre (ULCRC) facility. The Department conducts scientific research in a setting rich with clinical knowledge and investigative work, guaranteeing that fundamental research is consistently informed by patient-relevant insights from top-tier clinical teams.
The Department is a key contributor to the Cancer Research UK Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre and oversees the Liverpool Tissue Bank.
