This program provides entry to the diverse array of philosophical subjects and specialized knowledge offered by the Department. It serves as outstanding preparation for philosophical research while also functioning as an appealing standalone postgraduate program. The curriculum is carefully structured to develop both the philosophical research capabilities and transferable skills sought by various employers. Participants benefit from tailored Research and Professional training via a practical skills component.

Instruction centers on two primary seminar courses: Religion, Ethics and Practical Philosophy, along with Metaphysics, Language and Mind. Students also select three optional modules from Philosophy and the School of the Arts offerings.

The program includes completing a dissertation—an independent research project supervised by faculty experts. Students engage with departmental research initiatives and have opportunities to learn from internationally acclaimed guest lecturers.

You will normally need a 2:1 honours degree, or above, or equivalent. This degree should be in philosophy or a related arts and humanities subject.

IELTS - Overall 6.5 with W 6.5 and S L R 6.0
