This dynamic interdisciplinary master's program merges philosophical aesthetics, art theory, and real-world gallery and museum experience, blending academic study with practical application. The curriculum equips you with skills for professional roles in the cultural field or advanced research in Arts and Humanities.
Core modules focus on contemporary art world themes like museum philosophy, socially engaged art, and environmental art, delivered through seminars and hands-on workshops with our city's cultural partners to provide curatorial insights.
Elective modules offer extensive options across University disciplines, allowing you to customize your studies—whether in Philosophy or other humanities fields.
Your professional development will be strengthened through a two-week placement. The program collaborates with leading institutions including Open Eye gallery, FACT, and Victoria Gallery, while also providing exclusive access to a three-month Tate Liverpool curatorial studentship for selected students.
