This program equips you with the expertise to perform diverse radiographic procedures essential for entry-level positions in today's healthcare environment.
You'll build foundational knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology through radiographic and cross-sectional imaging, while mastering radiological science principles related to medical imaging and radiation safety. The curriculum also covers research methodologies in diagnostic radiography and emphasizes evidence-based professional practice.
This career-focused program balances theory and practice equally, delivered through university coursework and regional clinical placements. University modules explore four key areas: patient-centered radiographic care, anatomical sciences, radiation physics, and research techniques. Training facilities include a dedicated imaging suite with CT scanner.
Throughout the three-year program, you'll complete multiple hospital placements aligned with academic coursework. Teaching methods combine lectures, small-group sessions, and our renowned team-based learning (TBL) approach - an internationally validated method highly rated by students. The curriculum incorporates problem-based learning through clinical case discussions and interprofessional education to prepare you for collaborative healthcare teams.
Your clinical progress will be continuously assessed through a digital tracking system using program-provided iPads, with regular feedback to support your development. The program includes an optional elective placement, allowing you to gain specialized experience in your preferred imaging department locally, nationally, or abroad.
