Doctoral students engage in innovative research aimed at advancing knowledge in their specialized disciplines. As a postgraduate researcher, you'll join our vibrant academic community, collaborating with distinguished scholars whose work influences global business, policy, and society. The program focuses on fostering your independent analytical skills under the guidance of seasoned faculty mentors. You'll have opportunities to connect with the School's dynamic research groups and participate in organized training through our Doctoral School, developing both program-specific and career-relevant competencies. Some students may qualify to contribute to undergraduate instruction after completing appropriate training. Typically, PhD candidates initially enroll in an MPhil program, with expectations to transition to PhD status within 12 months (or 24 months for part-time students). This progression involves submitting a comprehensive research proposal and successfully defending it during a transfer examination, pending final approval from the University's Research Committees.
