Doctoral students engage in innovative research aimed at advancing knowledge and insight within their specialized discipline. As a postgraduate researcher, you'll join our vibrant academic community, collaborating with distinguished scholars whose work has influenced global business, policy, and social development. The program focuses on fostering your independent analytical capabilities under the mentorship of seasoned faculty. You'll have the advantage of joining dynamic research groups and benefiting from the School's thriving scholarly environment. Research students receive comprehensive training through our Doctoral School's structured program, designed to cultivate both subject-specific expertise and versatile professional skills. Opportunities may arise to contribute to undergraduate teaching after completing appropriate preparation. Typically, PhD candidates initially enroll in an MPhil program, transitioning to PhD status after two terms upon submitting and successfully defending a comprehensive research proposal. This progression requires endorsement by the University's Research Committees. Each student works with a dedicated supervision team, comprising a primary supervisor (Director of Studies) and typically a secondary supervisor, while maintaining autonomous responsibility for their research under expert guidance.
