Gaining insight into the mindsets and actions that shape our culture and influence our living and working environments can empower us to diminish the widespread inequalities found in global societies. The Eleanor Glanville Centre focuses on critically examining equality, diversity, and inclusion challenges while pioneering innovative concepts beyond traditional academic disciplines. Students who join our research teams will participate in groundbreaking studies with tangible real-world effects, supporting our mission to transform culture and foster inclusive excellence. Doctoral candidates at the Eleanor Glanville Centre collaborate with internationally acclaimed scholars, including Professor Belinda Colston, a specialist in creating and assessing novel approaches for inclusive research settings and their broader sector-wide influence, and Professor Abigail Powell, an authority in Sociology and Social Policy with expertise in gender roles (both domestically and professionally), particularly in male-dominated fields, youth research, financial stability, and sophisticated impact assessment. Within our nurturing academic environment, students exchange ideas and insights to expand understanding and shape sector-wide strategies, policies, and practices.
