This MPhil/PhD program is a research-based degree tailored for current or aspiring senior academic leaders, administrative heads of primary, secondary, or higher education institutions, as well as university lecturers and researchers. The curriculum focuses on cultivating advanced critical analysis and research capabilities essential for doctoral studies. Participants can choose their research thesis topic and benefit from personalized guidance through dedicated supervision. At Lincoln, doctoral candidates collaborate with faculty members conducting studies on enhancing educational systems. They enjoy scheduled monthly supervisory meetings (or bi-monthly for part-time scholars) and have access to ongoing research methodology workshops offered by both the School of Education and the Doctoral School. Typically, students initially enroll in the MPhil program, then progress to PhD status after 12 months (full-time) or 24 months (part-time), contingent upon successful defense of a comprehensive research proposal during a transfer viva. Final approval for this transition rests with the University's Research Committees.
