The Arts Foundation Year at Lincoln serves as the initial cross-disciplinary phase of a four-year degree program, offering pathways to various courses in the College of Arts such as Animation and Visual Effects, Architecture, Creative Advertising, Design for Events, Exhibitions and Performances, Fashion, Fine Art, Graphic Design, Illustration, Interior Architecture and Design, Photography, and Product Design.
Every student engages with the same vibrant curriculum, broadening their understanding of creative fields through hands-on practice, workshops, research, and theoretical study. Although applicants must choose a specific degree initially, they can explore different subjects and switch programs before advancing to their chosen degree.
This year is perfect for those uncertain about their specialization, lacking prior art and design education, returning to academics, needing time to build confidence and adapt to university-level work, or those who didn't achieve their anticipated grades.
Participants will join a vibrant community, collaborate with tutors from diverse fields, and be inspired to experiment while honing their practical abilities and analytical skills before entering the first year of their specialized degree program.
