Instruction is research-driven, delivered by faculty with global recognition in their specialties. Doctoral candidates undertake self-directed research projects with mentorship from an advisory panel. Typically, research concludes within 3.0-3.5 years (full-time) or 6.0-6.5 years (part-time), with an additional year (or remaining portion) available for thesis preparation. The dissertation, capped at 50,000 words, must present novel findings worthy of publication. Candidates must successfully defend their work in an oral examination to earn their degree.
