Neuroscience explores the nervous system, focusing on the brain and its critical roles in processes like learning, memory, sensory perception, movement coordination, and behavior. In this program, you'll collaborate with top neuroscientists researching key questions in the field to better understand neurological disorders in humans. You'll also build a strong foundation in core biological principles while honing analytical abilities and learning to manage intricate data. By combining neuroscience with other biological science electives, you'll develop interdisciplinary expertise—a highly valued skill in scientific careers and beyond. The initial three years mirror the Biological Sciences (Neuroscience) BSc curriculum, with opportunities for a Year in Industry or Year Abroad after Year 2. Your fourth year emphasizes advanced research and laboratory techniques, along with professional skill development, through a specialized project in one of six focus areas. The MBiolSci in Biological Sciences cultivates analytical and critical thinking abilities that are especially sought after by PhD programs, research institutions, and diverse employers outside science.
