We maintain a distinguished legacy of innovative historical approaches spanning local to worldwide perspectives. With more than thirty research historians specializing in diverse areas, we provide specialized guidance and extensive course selections. You'll establish a solid foundation in research methodologies through our core course, Historical Research and Historical Writing. Additionally, you'll select three modules from our wide-ranging offerings across various periods (medieval, early modern, and contemporary), geographical areas (British, European, American, and international), and disciplines (political, social, cultural, local, family, urban, postcolonial, religious, and medical history). The program culminates with a dissertation project conducted under the direct mentorship of one of our expert research historians.
