Physiotherapy is a healthcare field that considers physical movement essential for maintaining health and wellness across all age groups. At Leicester, we thoroughly equip you for a professional physiotherapy career in diverse environments. Our program will train you to competently evaluate and treat patients while collaborating effectively with both patients and multidisciplinary teams. You'll be taught by top physiotherapy professionals. Our instructors form a unified team of lecturer-practitioners who are specialists in their respective clinical areas of physiotherapy. This means they not only teach at the University but also serve as specialized physiotherapists in sectors like the NHS, Ministry of Defence, private healthcare, and elite sports. All instruction occurs in intimate group settings, supported by outstanding facilities to expand your expertise, including specialized practice rooms, a movement analysis laboratory, and a cutting-edge clinical skills unit featuring advanced patient simulators for safe procedure practice. You'll also have the privilege of using Leicester Medical School's anatomy dissection room. We emphasize that understanding patients' stories and seeing the complete context can transform treatment approaches. Accordingly, our educators strongly emphasize honing your communication abilities to better assess, treat, and inspire patients toward optimal recovery.
