Our Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Foundation Year programs are designed for aspiring students who want to pursue STEM disciplines like physics but lack conventional qualifications. These courses operate on the University of Leicester campus alongside regular degree programs, where you'll learn with peers who narrowly missed admission to similar courses. The initial foundation year (year 0) prepares students to qualify for advancement into year 1 of any BSc Geography program. Successful completion guarantees entry into your selected degree's first year. The curriculum places significant focus on cultivating crucial professional and personal competencies vital for academic success and future careers. Throughout the Foundation Year, you'll fully integrate into university life, experiencing all aspects of Leicester's student community. This includes Students' Union membership, access to academic and recreational facilities, university housing options, and comprehensive support services, with dedicated personal tutor guidance.
