Our Archaeology BSc program provides comprehensive knowledge of the professional archaeological field, with outstanding skills training from ULAS, our in-house archaeological unit renowned for uncovering Richard III's remains. Ranked among the UK's top ten for Archaeology teaching, Leicester offers one of the few CIfA and UAUK-accredited Archaeology BSc degrees, ensuring your qualification serves as the foundation for professional accreditation. Hands-on learning is central to the program, with ongoing excavation and fieldwork opportunities to hone your skills. You'll access state-of-the-art facilities including nine specialized labs, featuring upgraded Osteology, Zooarchaeology, and Materials laboratories. The curriculum spans diverse periods, regions, and methodologies, with faculty expertise covering Roman archaeology, prehistory, historical archaeology, commercial archaeology, theoretical approaches, archaeological sciences, and Classical history. After your first year, you may opt to switch to our Archaeology BA program.

A/AS-levels: BBB. Two AS-levels can be considered in place of one A-level. General Studies or Critical Thinking accepted.
EPQ with A-Levels: BBC at A-Level + EPQ at grade B.
Access to HE Diploma: Pass Diploma with 45 credits at level 3, 24 of which must be at Distinction.
International Baccalaureate: Pass Diploma with 28 points.
BTEC Nationals: Pass Diploma with DDM.
T Levels: Merit. All T Levels considered.
Other national and international qualifications welcomed.
