We strive to deliver a comprehensive, motivating, and transformative educational experience for every Leicester undergraduate, fostering fundamental knowledge in electrical and electronic engineering while cultivating expertise through academic pursuits and research that influences our daily lives and social interactions.
Electrical and Electronic Engineering touches every facet of modern existence, from mobility and connectivity to power systems and medical advancements. Facing contemporary worldwide issues, electrical engineers are crucial in devising eco-friendly innovations via technological development, implementation, and upkeep. This curriculum equips future engineers to pioneer advancements in sustainable power, automation, vehicle technology, space systems, telecommunications, agritech, industrial production, and beyond.
The program begins with a broad introductory engineering curriculum in the first year. During the second year, students enhance their technical competencies. The third year offers specialization options across three focused pathways: (I) Electric/Hybrid Aircraft Systems, (II) Sustainable Mobility and Power Solutions, or (III) Connected Devices and Networks. Alternatively, students may opt for a comprehensive BEng degree encompassing all three disciplines. The culminating project allows students to align their studies with emerging passions and professional aspirations.
