The Translation and Clinical Research initiative centers on establishing a comprehensive pipeline for oral/dental translational research, encompassing: Systematic reviews to pinpoint gaps in clinical knowledge, Initial proof-of-concept studies, Feasibility and pilot investigations, Phase 3 efficacy and effectiveness trials (frequently including mechanistic assessments to deepen understanding of intervention mechanisms), and Electronic health record data analysis. Our clinical studies aim to enhance oral health outcomes and introduce novel advancements into NHS healthcare services. We maintain a diverse research portfolio covering dental caries, tooth erosion, pediatric dentistry, pain management, prosthodontics, and connections between periodontal health and overall systemic wellbeing.
