Our research on sustainable food systems focuses on addressing the critical, interrelated challenges of climate change and malnutrition throughout people's lives. Combining our animal science knowledge with human nutrition expertise, we align with global objectives for carbon-neutral farming. This work is integrated into the Global Food and Environment Institute, where cutting-edge research and education take place at the University of Leeds' smart farm, home to the National Pig Centre (NPC). Collaborating with academic, industry, and policy partners globally, we co-create research initiatives to tackle worldwide agricultural, environmental, and health issues.
