Pursuing your PhD in the School of Philosophy, Religion and History of Science involves conducting an in-depth, innovative research project that will establish you as a specialist in your chosen field while developing advanced research capabilities. You'll receive consistent guidance through scheduled sessions with supervisors who will review your progress, offer constructive critiques, and provide expert recommendations. The Centre for Philosophy of Religion and Theology is dedicated to advancing scholarly inquiry into religious philosophy through diverse methodologies and faith perspectives. Its team consists of nine faculty members whose expertise covers principal areas of religious philosophy, such as Christian doctrinal metaphysics, theories of religious knowledge, Eastern philosophical systems, problems of suffering and divine justice, moral theology, intersections of faith and governance, and studies of mystical encounters and spiritual development.

You should hold a good honours degree (upper second class or first class) in a related discipline, and hold, or expect to obtain, a Masters degree a related subject.

If English is not your first language, you will also need an English language qualification, for example IELTS 6.5 with at least 6.0 in all components.
Internet based TOEFL 88 (with not less than 19 in listening, 20 in reading, 22 in speaking and 21 in writing)
