Pursuing a postgraduate research program demands commitment and enthusiasm for your chosen field. The journey as a doctoral candidate presents challenges but offers immense fulfillment. Our research spans multiple disciplines with a primary emphasis on Biophysics and Nanomedicine. We maintain robust partnerships both nationally and internationally, along with close ties to local institutions through joint appointments and collaborative projects with the Faculty of Medicine and Health and the Faculty of Biological Sciences. As members of the Astbury Centre for Structural Molecular Biology and the Bragg Centre, we possess cutting-edge experimental facilities ranging from low-temperature AFM to high-speed imaging technologies, all utilized for studying molecular systems.

Qualification Requirements

You must have achieved a bachelor degree with a 2:1 (hons), or equivalent, or a good performance in a Masters level course in a relevant subject. We also recognise relevant industrial and academic experience. IELTS band score 6.0 - with not less than 5.5 in any skill area or Internet based TOEFL 80 (with not less than 17 in listening, 18 in reading, 20 in speaking and 19 in writing).
