The Medicines Optimization theme brings together a diverse group of professionals, including pharmacists, health services researchers, and social scientists. Our work draws from hands-on clinical experience with medication use, focusing on enhancing prescription practices, medication reviews, and understanding patient adherence.
Our team investigates optimal medication management - examining prescribing behaviors, the quality of medication information provided to patients, and the factors influencing medication adherence. We maintain collaborative partnerships with institutions across the UK (University of Bradford, University of East Anglia, and Queen's University Belfast) and globally (including Utrecht, Sydney, and North Carolina).
