Beyond its crucial function in fighting infections, the immune system is increasingly understood to influence vulnerability and disease progression in other globally prevalent conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, cancer, and musculoskeletal disorders. Investigations into inflammation and immune responses substantially enhance our comprehension of the biological processes, disease mechanisms, and therapeutic approaches for these varied health issues. Our work spans fundamental studies of immune and inflammatory pathways, applied research, and clinical testing. We examine immune system components, viral pathogens and infections, along with the impact of immune responses and inflammation on cancer, musculoskeletal disorders, and cardiovascular conditions. Our objective is to translate these insights into better medical care, with a strong focus on developing methods to regulate inflammatory and immune processes for enhanced treatment results in cancer and musculoskeletal conditions.
