Religious traditions persistently influence our global society and worldview. Gaining a deeper comprehension of diverse faith systems and customs proves crucial for addressing today's most pressing moral and societal dilemmas. This program examines how spiritual traditions both support and challenge political and communal structures. Students will investigate theology's role, sacred texts, worship practices, and faith-based groups in modern concerns including environmental crises, extremism, international progress, identity politics, and human rights. The curriculum also challenges conventional notions of spirituality through political theories and social transformation frameworks, examining contentious subjects like secularism, faith-based identity politics, and religion's public role. Participants may select a focused track in theology, social development, or gender studies.
