Faith traditions persistently influence our global perspectives and worldviews. Gaining a deeper comprehension of religious doctrines and customs proves crucial for addressing today's most pressing moral and societal dilemmas. This program examines how spiritual traditions impact, challenge, or transform political and communal existence. Students will investigate theology's significance, holy texts, worship practices, and faith-driven institutions regarding modern concerns like environmental crises, extremism, international progress, identity politics, and human rights issues. The curriculum also challenges conventional notions of religion through political theories, policy frameworks, and societal transformation models, tackling controversial subjects including secularism, spiritual identity politics, and religion's role in public discourse. Participants may select a focused track in theology, social development, or gender studies.
