Urban centers globally are confronting significant sustainability issues. As municipal leaders commit to carbon-neutral cities by 2040, a critical lack of expertise highlights the urgent need for future sustainability innovators.

Our MSc in Sustainable Cities addresses this gap by providing the essential knowledge and skills to become a pioneer in urban sustainability. This program offers direct engagement with sustainability challenges, combining academic frameworks with practical applications. You'll explore energy infrastructure, transportation systems, housing solutions, green spaces, and food security. Through hands-on case studies, you'll learn to redesign these systems for improved economic, ecological, and community benefits, preparing you for impactful careers in municipal governance, advisory services, non-profits, and other sectors.

Qualification Requirements

A bachelor degree with a 2:1 (hons) in a natural, environmental, physical, management or social science subject.

Applicants with a 2.2 will be considered on a case-by-case basis, where applicants can demonstrate relevant work experience or aptitude in a relevant specialist field. Graduates from other disciplines and those with professional experience in the sector will also be considered.

IELTS 6.5 overall and no less than 6.0 in each component skill
TOEFL iBT - 88 overall and no less than 19 in listening, 20 in reading, 22 in speaking and 21 in writing.
