Pursuing an MSc by Research offers a valuable chance to enhance your intellectual capabilities, research expertise, and academic focus in a specific discipline. This research-based Master's program spans 12 months (or 24 months for part-time students), differing from taught Master's degrees that include assessed coursework modules alongside a shorter research component. Under your supervisors' guidance, you'll dedicate yourself to designing, executing, and documenting your research project. You'll receive support from at least two academic advisors and may have opportunities to publish your findings when suitable.
Addressing the global demand for safe, eco-friendly, and cost-effective production of fine chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and advanced materials presents significant societal challenges that demand interdisciplinary solutions. Innovative catalytic methods and processing technologies are essential to optimize existing chemical resources while incorporating sustainable alternatives like bio-based materials. Developing commercially viable cleaner technologies, including electrochemical and photochemical processes, requires breakthroughs in both chemical science and engineering approaches.
