The MSc Chemical Engineering (with Advanced Practice) program is perfect for chemical engineering graduates or professionals in related sectors like pharmaceuticals, fertilizers, energy production, or water treatment who seek career advancement, promotions, or updated industry knowledge. This program delivers industry-relevant education by enhancing lifelong learning abilities, promoting continuous professional growth, and offering pathways for further specialization. With five decades of chemical engineering instruction, Teesside University boasts faculty with direct industry experience both in the UK and internationally. Students conduct research in our state-of-the-art laboratories, featuring specialized facilities like separation labs with absorption/distillation units, catalysis labs, and fermentation systems. Opportunities may arise to participate in our ERDF-backed hydrogen economy initiative and other regional industry research projects. Alumni have secured positions at leading firms such as SABIC, Johnson Matthey, Sembcorp, GlaxoSmithKline, and CF Fertilisers. Three study options are available: a one-year full-time MSc, a two-year part-time MSc, or a two-year full-time MSc with Advanced Practice.
