While nutrition represents one component of health, it's deeply connected to various aspects of our daily existence. This interconnection makes it challenging to isolate diet's precise impact on health without accounting for lifestyle factors. Our investigations explore the complex connections between individuals, nutrition, and wellbeing across diverse groups, adopting an interdisciplinary approach to unravel the molecular, behavioral, and societal elements shaping dietary influences on health. Through national and international partnerships spanning multiple sectors, we seek to comprehend food consumption patterns and their health consequences. These insights inform our development and testing of health improvement strategies for both individuals and communities, as well as our evaluation of health policies' effectiveness at population scales in the UK and globally.
