Pursuing a postgraduate research degree demands commitment and enthusiasm for your chosen field. The journey is rigorous but immensely fulfilling. As a doctoral candidate, you'll conduct specialized research under the guidance of a principal supervisor and additional co-supervisors.

Professor Walti collaborates with postgraduate researchers employing atomic force microscopy to study cell separation. Molecular self-assembly presents a promising approach for organizing nanoscale elements, leveraging the precise lock-and-key interactions found in biological molecules. Our team explores various strategies to integrate biological functions into nanoelectronic systems. These innovative techniques may lead to advanced molecular sensors, memory/storage solutions, and methods for controlled three-dimensional structuring.
