Investigating gene regulation, transcription, and epigenetic modifications in healthy and diseased conditions. Our cellular biology studies seek to uncover the molecular processes governing normal cell operations and their breakdown in illness. Specifically, we examine the architecture and roles of cellular elements like membranes, organelles, and structural frameworks, along with biological processes such as protein management, stress responses, genetic control mechanisms, and secretion pathways in both healthy and pathological states. These investigations utilize diverse models ranging from cultured mammalian cells to plants, nematodes, and Drosophila.
