Our research focuses on soft matter physics, examining materials such as liquid crystals, polymers, biopolymers, glasses, composite materials, gels, and colloids. Using primarily experimental methods, we study the fundamental characteristics of soft materials and connect our findings to practical applications and device development. Notable recent achievements include: creating a synthetic molecular auxetic material that expands in thickness under stress, developing lightweight yet durable single-component composites from renewable sources, and formulating gel-based solutions for lithium batteries.
