Our research specializes in spintronics experimentation, where we create nanostructures from diverse materials and study how their properties change based on structure, temperature, and magnetic fields.
A key area of interest involves electron transport in innovative materials and configurations. Our team excels at producing various structures such as spin-valves, tunnel junctions, ferromagnet/superconductor interfaces, and quantum point contacts for Andreev reflection studies. Fabrication techniques include shadow masking, MBE for self-assembly, lithography, template methods, and focused ion beam processing. We analyze these structures through neutron/x-ray scattering, atomic force/scanning tunneling microscopy, and magnetic measurements.
