This legal program enables you to explore various branches of law while developing analytical skills like a legal professional and examining law as a societal framework across two jurisdictions - both at the University of Leeds and at a collaborating institution in France. As a student, you'll examine fundamental legal subjects including contract law, criminal law, and international law, alongside understanding law's wider societal context. You'll simultaneously gain exposure to the French legal framework and enhance your language proficiency to prepare for your third-year legal studies in France. Numerous elective modules let you focus on specialized legal fields such as corporate law, human rights legislation, environmental regulations, and family law. You may also investigate subjects within criminal justice and criminology, including juvenile delinquency.
