At Leeds, you can pursue political studies alongside one of 10 language options in this four-year program. The curriculum explores key concepts including colonialism, nationalism, democracy, revolution, gender studies, and globalization. Elective courses cover diverse subjects from global political systems to translation studies, interpreting, and the relationship between media and democratic processes. Additionally, you'll immerse yourself in the cultural and societal aspects of nations where your selected language is spoken.

Through intensive language training, you'll prepare for your compulsory year abroad, where you'll refine your linguistic abilities while gaining deeper insight into your host country's international relations with other nations and global organizations. For your final project, you may choose to focus on either political science or your language specialization.
