The Youth and Justice team concentrates on challenges affecting young individuals engaged in unlawful activities, as well as broader matters concerning the inclusion of children and youth, their involvement in decision-making processes, and their interactions within communities. Our diverse, interdisciplinary team leads the way in developing creative ethnographic research approaches tailored for younger populations. We maintain strong connections with both academic circles and policy implementation networks, which we aim to expand. Our work prioritizes impactful research that drives meaningful change. With extensive experience spanning practice, education, and leadership roles primarily in Liverpool, John specializes in teaching social work principles, research methodologies, ethnic studies, and social work practice. His academic investigations primarily explore ethnic considerations in social work, particularly regarding services for children, adolescents, and their family units.
