Our work centers on gathering and analyzing research data through both field studies and laboratory investigations, employing firsthand data to drive scientific innovation and create societal value. The UCLan Research Centre for Field Archaeology and Forensic Taphonomy collaborates with international scholars, specializing in primary data acquisition and examination. We partner with prominent institutions worldwide, including the International Committee of the Red Cross, the Max Planck Institute, Australian National University, Amsterdam's ARISTA human taphonomic facility, Historic England, the Museum of London, and the UK Ministry of Defence.
Annual archaeological fieldwork spans multiple continents, with significant activity in England, Wales, Scotland, the United States, and South Africa. Thousands of researchers have participated in our initiatives across Europe, Australia, and North America.
