Read less These foundation courses serve students capable of degree-level study who lack the formal qualifications for direct entry into their desired Honours program. The curriculum covers aerodynamics, structural design, propulsion systems, flight mechanics, mechanical engineering principles, and CAD techniques. You'll apply this knowledge to real-world flying vehicle analysis and design projects. Aircraft flight dynamics come alive through flight simulator exercises, which you can adapt for different aircraft including commercial planes, helicopters, and spacecraft. Collaborative design projects provide hands-on experience with teamwork and engineering development processes. The program also includes practical work with civil-use unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
