The stellar astrophysics research team explores star formation and planetary system development, stellar characteristics, and stars' impact on their surroundings. Our observational work spans X-ray, ultraviolet, optical, infrared, millimeter, and radio wavelengths, utilizing both terrestrial telescopes (such as JCMT and eMerlin) and space-based instruments (including Kepler, Herschel, and XMM-Newton). Through integrated photometric, spectroscopic, and imaging data analysis, we decode the complex relationships between stars and their cosmic neighborhoods, as well as internal stellar mechanisms. Our theoretical and computational research examines the birth of Sun-like stars from collapsing molecular clouds and the formation of low-mass stars, brown dwarfs, and planets within protostellar disks. We also study the life cycles of massive stars and supernova phenomena.
