Our research team collaborates with national and global partners across diverse professional fields. We strive to deliver meaningful outcomes for individuals facing mental health challenges, particularly vulnerable populations, through rigorous research, innovation, and advisory services. Our approach actively engages healthcare providers, service recipients, and community stakeholders. Central to our work is addressing mental health in aging communities, coercion and safety concerns, service user participation, and collaborative partnerships. We seek to elevate mental health research at UCLan by fostering cooperation among academics, healthcare professionals, social care experts, service users, caregivers, and the broader community. Our goals include expanding the scope and excellence of mental health studies at UCLan by enhancing researcher competencies and strengthening partnerships. We aim to deepen insights into mental wellbeing, psychological disorders, recovery processes, and the complex challenges surrounding effective mental healthcare. These objectives are pursued through comprehensive research initiatives, developmental projects, and consultancy services covering multiple thematic areas.
