Our BSc (Hons) Microbiology (Foundation Entry) program provides comprehensive training in health and disease, deepening your understanding of human biology while preparing you for advanced degree studies. This foundation pathway is designed for students who demonstrate academic potential but require additional preparation before undertaking a full honors degree. The initial year focuses on building core scientific competencies through both theoretical learning and practical applications.
You'll receive personalized guidance to enhance your analytical abilities and acquire the tools necessary for university success. Upon completing the foundation year, eligible students automatically progress to Year 1 of our Microbiology degree without needing to reapply or undergo further interviews (subject to meeting progression criteria).
