Our childhood learning and development shape our entire lives, forming the core focus of the Education & Psychology Foundation Entry program. Investigate cognitive processes like learning, memory, reasoning, and communication, along with educational challenges faced by youth, including learning disabilities and socio-emotional issues. The first year covers fundamental psychological domains: cognitive, social, psychobiological, and developmental. Subsequent years delve into specialized modules applying psychological principles in educational contexts. Students can complete placements in educational environments throughout the program. Learning occurs in our advanced Psychology Building, featuring dedicated child observation facilities and cognitive research labs. This foundation can lead to teaching careers (after PGCE qualification), roles in further education, or positions in public services and educational support.
