With a rich academic legacy, our institution stands among Europe's most prominent and accomplished social science research hubs. In the 2021 Research Excellence Framework (REF), our Social Work and Social Policy department achieved 100% recognition for world-class or internationally outstanding research impact and environment.
Our School fosters a vibrant postgraduate community, having awarded over £100,000 in ESRC quota allocations, along with University and SSPSSR grants and scholarships to incoming students in 2010.
