Our MSc by Research and PhD programs in Biodiversity Management empower you to conduct innovative, top-tier research, leading to a final thesis submission. We seek students with suitable academic backgrounds for research endeavors.

Throughout postgraduate research (PGR) studies, candidates investigate and compose a thesis guided by an expert faculty team. Thesis length depends on the program type (maximum 100,000 words for PhD, or 40,000 words for MSc by research). Students engage with the School's dynamic postgraduate network and can participate in various seminar series hosted by the Research Themes and Centres.

Given the global scope and varied nature of field-based research projects, time spent on campus differs among students. However, all PGR candidates must complete their initial months at the School for research methods training and attendance at key academic seminars.
